Description
Program Leaders (PLs) are an integral part of Residence Life. The Program Leaders enhance the residents experience by hosting events and delivering services that build residents engagement with their peers, develop resiliency, and enrich their co-curricular experience. By fostering community spirit through the organization of social and educational events, PLs are highly visible and engaging members of the residence community. The following is a breakdown of the responsibilities and requirements of a Community Leader, both on and off duty.
Position Overview
- Work towards developing a new program that encompasses both the academic success of a student, with a holistic approach towards success that includes the following items below
- Plan and execute a CommuniTree Connections event at least once per month
- Plan and execute a minimum of one additional activity each week, providing an educational program or service
- Plan and execute an academic program that provides the Residence Community a place to collaborate with other students, while honing in on best practices in the classroom
- Plan and execute programming within the Residence community that carries community spirit, diversity and empowerment as outcomes of both passive and active programs
- Provide support, tips and tools as applicable in programming related to academic success, balancing multiple priorities and working towards creating the whole student and enhancing the student experience

- Ability to work remotely
